Mothers Club of Putnam Hospital Center Summer Social – A dinner dance was hosted by The Mothers Club of Putnam Hospital Center July 25 at Centennial Golf Club in Carmel. The Summer Social was a sold out event! The MothersClub of PHC is a branch of the PHC Auxiliary and is a nonprofit group that volunteers its time to raise funds in support of the Birthing Center at Putnam Hospital Center.
The evening included dinner, dancing and a chinese auction. A highlight of the night was when the club honored Senator Vincent Leibell as a charter member of The Mothers Club for his support of the all women’s group. The Mothers Club is busily planning next year’s event which is set for July 24th, 2009. The group is always looking for new members and can be contacted at PHCmothersclub@yahoo.com

Multiple Sclerosis Walk 2008 – Jamie Imperati of www.whatandwhen4kids.com was the Entertainment chair for the May 18, 2008 MS Walk at Carmel Firehouse sponsored by Sayegh Law. After the walk there were many fun activities for the kids such as face painting, a hula hoop contest, arts and crafts, and a giant firefighter slide and bounce castle! The event had a great turnout!

Mahopac Carmel Chamber of Commerce Street Festival – On Sunday October 5th the Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Street Festival and Columbus Day Parade, www.whatandwhen4kids.com had a table at the event in the Chamber park and we enjoyed seeing all the kids come through to paint pumpkins, go on the rides and enjoy all the festivities! We look forward to it again next year.

Teddy Bear Pajama Party- Jamie Imperati of www.whatandwhen4kids.com serves on the committee of the Mothers Club of Putnam Hospital Center.
On Friday October 3rd The Mothers Club hosted a Teddy Bear Pajama Party in the new Michael T. Weber Auditorium.
The event was a huge success! Kids showed up in their pajamas and brought their pillows and teddy bears to hear local author Bernadette Rossetti Shustak read her book ”I Love You Through and Through”. Other books were read by PHC Endocrinologist Dr. Genevieve Lama, PHC Cardiologist Dr. Michael Schoolman and Anita Minella, a Mothers’ Club member and PHC Director of Development and Community Affairs .. There was face painting by Kidz Country, Cornell Extension and a local Girl Scout troop and coloring as well as a Teddy Bear Clinic. Milk and cookies were given out to all that attended and were sponsored by www.whatandwhen4kids.com!
The Mothers Club of PHC fundraises so they can send each new mom home with a Halo Sleep Sack which is used to help prevent SIDS.
